One day underwater photography course for beginners and improvers, with optional boat dive follow up.
Next course TBA . Watch this space for next course.
I’m going to be running a couple of one day beginners and improvers underwater photography courses. These will be held just outside of Exeter, Devon.
The course will take you from first principles to techniques such as using balanced lighting and dealing with backscatter in turbid water. I’ll also be covering set up and maintenance and looking at the range of systems available. There will be plenty of hands on time, and the courses are kept small to allow for plenty of one to one tuition. This will be followed by a 1-2 hour pool session to put in to practice the techniques just covered and to continue practical in water training.
What you will need.
You will need to bring basic pool diving kit (regulator, tank with stab jacket or backpack, fins, mask, weightbelt). A basic diving qualification is also required (BSCA Ocean Diver, PADI Open Water Diver or similar). If you have you’re own camera please bring it.
Course timing
Courses start at 10am and finish at approximately 4.30pm, allowing time either side for those travelling from outside Devon.
Costs
The cost of the course is £140. A course completion certificate is issued at the end of the course.
Location
The courses will be held at the Lamorna Hotel, Ideford Combe, Sandygate, Newton Abbot, Devon or the Langstone Cliff Hotel, Dawlish, Devon. There is ample parking in the hotel grounds and very reasonable accommodation can be arranged here.
Dates
The first course will be run on .TBA. Additional courses will be added shortly.
